Orchard Community Care was founded in 2015 by a team of social care professionals in the Sligo area to provide services to individuals with Intellectual Disability and Autism.
Today Orchard Community Care operates across numerous locations and is rapidly expanding to other parts of the country.
We provide residential, respite, outreach and day services to both children and adults with medium to profound disability including those with life limiting conditions. Our multidisciplinary team includes social care workers, nurses and healthcare assistants who are supported by a range of other professionals including psychologists, behavioural therapists, occupational therapists and speech and language therapists.
At Orchard Community Care we are focused on learning from experience and research to provide the most comfortable and calming environment for the people we support. We apply principals of stress management and well being to support those with Intellectual Disability and Autism and allow those in our care to live meaningful lives.
At Orchard Community Care we offer a range of residential houses that provides respite, shared and fulltime accommodation for those with moderate to severe disabilities who cannot live at home.
Our houses are a home away from home for those we care for, and we ensure that they are comfortable and adapted to meet individual needs.
Our houses are all modern spacious houses located in their own grounds to allow easy access and privacy for those we support. Each house provides extensive living and sleeping accommodation and additional facilities such as sensory rooms and gardens depending on the needs of those who live in the house.
If you are a disability manager, social worker or community worker and are interested in making a referral to our service, you can download our referral form here or visit our website www.orchardcommunity.ie
What our staff members say…
Through Orchard I have been given the opportunity to grow professionally and learn new skills through many training opportunities.
I feel so privileged to be able to care for some very special children and young adults in a relaxed, home from home environment.
