Orchard Residential Care was established in 2007 in the North West and today is a leading provider of children’s residential services operating across numerous locations across Ireland and continues to expand to more parts of the country.

Orchard Residential Care works in partnership with TUSLA, offering a range of child-centred residential services for children between 8-18 years who require out-of-home care.

We provide a physically, emotionally and psychologically safe place in which young people can heal, develop and move forward in their lives. Our care is provided in small-scale residential facilities for family-sized groups – 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. These houses are comfortable, spacious and offer all of the facilities required by the young people who live with us. We also help the young people in our care to become an integrated part of local communities by partnering with local schools, sporting clubs and voluntary groups to offer them positive life experiences.

VISIT ORCHARD RESIDENTIAL

Orchard Residential Care is committed to providing the therapeutic support that is required by each young person to understand and manage the specific challenges and adversity they have faced to date and work towards positive outcomes.

The therapeutic model used is based on the Three Pillars of Transforming Care Framework which is a trauma informed model that is compatible with the Therapeutic Crisis Intervention which is also utilised at Orchard Residential Care.

At Orchard Residential Care we are fully committed to providing services and care of the highest standard and are constantly reviewing our approach to care to make sure it meets the needs of our young people and we are proud to have received the Investing in Children membership award annually since 2018. This award recognises services that demonstrate good practice and actively include children, young people and adults in the planning of services.

What our staff members say…

Orchard have provided loads of different opportunities to me as a professional such as the trainings that we go to. We have done several different trainings including First Aid, Suicide Prevention and Manual Handling training. They also offer very flexible rosters, for example I plan on going to college in September to do my Masters which Orchard fully support and are very flexible in organising.
